Two female mayors of Beverley, East Yorkshire

For the first time in its 421 year history of mayors, Beverley has welcomed an all female mayor and deputy mayor, when Beverley Town Councillors Alison Healy was elected mayor and Cheryl Giles was elected deputy.

Alison said "I am looking forward to meeting lots of community groups, voluntary organisations and people who do so much for our town."

The mayor will be fundraising for the Beverley Church Lads and Girls Brigade.
