Cottingham Lib Dem councillor urges residents to complain about EE signal degradation
This is now seriously affecting daily life. One resident reported being unable to complete online shopping because essential security code texts simply aren’t arriving!
Cllr Phil redshaw has taken several steps already:
Contacted Broadband East Yorkshire, who oversee the Government’s broadband rollout – no response so far.
Visited the EE shop in Beverley – staff confirmed the mast has been permanently decommissioned.
• They also confirmed multiple residents have already complained, including three today alone.
• There are currently no known plans to replace the mast.
I then rang EE technical support, but they refused to discuss the issue with me because I am not an EE customer (not impressed). However, they made one thing clear:
The number of customer complaints will determine whether EE takes action.
If you are an EE customer and are affected, please report it immediately by calling EE Technical Support on 150, or by calling 0800 079 8586.
Alternatively, fill out their Online Complaint Form: ee.co.uk/help/contact-ee/complaint
Without complaints, EE may assume the loss of service is acceptable.
Please also comment below if you are affected, so we can demonstrate the scale of the problem to EE and the relevant authorities.
