Liberal Democrat highlight Tory Youth Cuts

Simon Galton, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group has highlighted his concerns about the cuts to the Youth Service. The County Council currently spends £4.2m on youth work and in the budget last February, the Conservatives voted to cut £1m from the youth budget.

Alarm bells ring as council financial blunders accumulate

Liberal Democrats have expressed alarm at the continued financial anomalies at Wiltshire Council and have accused the Conservative administration of squandering ratepayers' money. According to Deputy Group Leader Peter Colmer more evidence is being unmasked of waste and mismanagement on a regular basis.

Positive things are happening in the area, led by the community, and residents' surveys rate the Council and the quality of services it provides very highly.
