Dundee Liberal Democrats have today (Thursday 24th May) backed comments by LibDem Shadow Scottish Secretary Jo Swinson MP, who has said new nuclear power stations are not the way forward for Scotland's future energy needs.
Local MP Tim Farron will tomorrow take part in an all party meeting on the unitary council proposal organised by South Lakeland District Council. On Friday 18th May, Conservative and Labour MPs voted to exempt Parliament from Freedom of Information laws, creating one law for MPs and Lords and one law for everyone else. The Bill - introduced by a Conservative MP - will now go to the House of Lords, where it can still be stopped from becoming law.
