One of the proudest achievements of the last Liberal Democrat administration of the Royal Borough between 2003 and 2007 was stopping Berkshire Fire Authority's plan to sell Windsor Fire Station for redevelopment.
Both the Old Parties have split down the middle on the AV referendum. Whilst Labour is open about its split with the likes of John Prescott speaking out firmly against fair votes, far less has been heard of the Conservative Yes Campaign.

Wolverhampton Liberal Democrat Councillor Robin Lawrence has accepted an invitation form the BBC to take part in an election debate, Monday 18th April. Appearing with Robin on the Ed Doolan show on BBC Radio WM will also be representatives of the Labour and Conservative parties. The debate will give listeners the opportunity to put questions to Robin and the other panelists as they discuss issues relating to Wolverhampton's local elections on Thursday 5th May.
