Tim Farron has said that this "self-inflicted wound" will be David Cameron's legacy as he commented on the Prime Minister's resignation.
As Counting Officer for the SHEPWAY voting area at the referendum held on 23 June 2016 under the European Union Referendum Act 2015, and having been authorised to do so by the Regional Counting Officer, I hereby give notice that I have certified the following:
I am proud that, three months ago, the executive committee voted unanimously to support the Remain cause, and that we made a significant contribution to the Stronger In campaign. Truro and Falmouth Liberal Democrats will continue to work in this constituency for an open, tolerant and fair society, and welcome those who share those values to join us. REMAIN 65,404 LEAVE 63,598. So make that majority 1806! Gosforth wards substantial for Remain - Liberal Democrats delivering majority that Labour couldn't do without to offset the Leave vote in wards they control. Turnout 67.7%
