Rochdale Leader reaffirms TIF bid support

Leader of Rochdale Council, Councillor Alan Taylor has criticised the decision of Bury Council to remove their support for the Transport Innovation Fund bid. Councillor Taylor has reaffirmed Rochdale Council's support for the potential £1200 million in transport improvements for Greater Manchester. Rochdale Council is now the only non Labour Council to support the bid in Greater Manchester.

Wolverhampton Council puts Spin before Swim

Wolverhampton's Labour-run Council claimed earlier this year to be too strapped for cash to save Compton Baths but seems able to spend over £2.5million on publicity. "Surely this is a case of putting spin before swim?" said Claire Darke, Compton Baths campaigner and Liberal Democrat candidate for Park Ward in next May's local elections.
