Tories refuse to give EU citizens living and working here a voice on their future

"The Conservatives want to deny EU citizens yet another right: the right to a say in their future in the UK by taking part in a People's Vote", Liberal Democrat Shadow Brexit Secretary, Tom Brake says. "They have been perfectly happy to use EU citizens' rights as a political football for years yet refuse to give them a say in a potential People's Vote. It's hardly surprising from the party responsible for the Windrush scandal.

Don't lose your vote!

Are you a Postal Voter? Have you received your Postal Voting Pack from the District Council? Tuesday 10th December is really your last posting date to be absolutely sure it gets there in time. But don't despair - if you've missed the post you can deliver it by hand before 10:00 pm on Thursday 12th December to The Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4ER; or on Polling Day (Thursday 12th) you can take it to any Polling Station in the Saffron Walden Constituency (for details go to https://www.uttlesford.gov.uk/polling-station-map). If you can't take it yourself, ask someone you know and trust to take it for you, but avoid getting a candidate or a party worker to hand your vote in. News from the campaign trail

There are only two more days of campaigning to go before election day! Plymouth Lib Dems have made a huge effort over the course of the campaign. Locally, we have campaigned in South West Devon and Plymouth Moor View, although we have candidates standing in all three Plymouth constituencies. We have also supported Liberal Democrat candidates across Devon and Cornwall, with a particular focus on Sarah Wollaston's campaign in Totnes.

The 12 Lies of Brexit - 9. No Regression On Rights

Workers' rights would be even further watered down in Johnson's Withdrawal Agreement when compared to May's. This phrase of 'no regression' replaced an entire section of May's deal, which was dedicated to protecting workers' rights. But this is exactly what Johnson wants.
