More Money for Pavement Improvements

The Lib Dem council agreed £150,000 for road and pavement improvements in Fawdon Ward, and every other ward this year. "Let's hope that the new Labour Council commits to this money" said Cllr David Faulkner. "We're still clearing the maintenance backlog from the last time they ran the city." Let us know of any pavement stretches which need inspection.

Trowbridge opposes Bath lorry threat

Trowbridge Town Council has added its voice to the campaign to resist any closure of Cleveland Bridge in Bath to lorries. The effect of such a lorry ban would be to send more HGVs through Wiltshire towns and villages.

Connexions disconnected

The Connexions service to young people in Wiltshire is being chopped. The three offices in Trowbridge, Chippenham and Salisbury will close at the end of this month.
