Yet More Universal Credit Headaches.
Following the news this week that some people on Universal Credit are being refused the free dental care and prescriptions to which they are entitled Stockton Liberal Democrats are calling on the government to sort out this mess. There is currently no way for pharmacists or dentists to identify those people who are receiving the elements of UC which qualify them for free treatment. As a result there is no option but to charge.

The EU is Great, and The Single Market is Awesome
There, I've said it. The EU is great and a fantastic force for peace and people's good, and the Single Market is an amazing innovation for which our country, as it's main creator, should be proud. I'm not saying either is perfect, however they are so good that most people won't realise how much they do for us until we lose them.

Seafront clean up
LibDem Chair Hugh Janes joined other Greenpeace volunteers on Sunday helping clean up the Hoe foreshore. Over 20 bags of litter, including many plastic and glass bottles that could have been recycled, were collected as well as sundry other discarded items. Greenpeace currently has a major campaign to stop the proliferation of plastics in the oceans.
