Local Eyres Monsell Campaigners Christopher Garner and Scott Kennedy-Lount advised residents n the wake of the City Council Elections we question if the Scrutiny Committee of Councillors before or after the election raised questions concerning the sale of the former Bishop Street Post Office as reported in the Leicester Mercury on 18th May. The building was bought in 2008 for £1.4m and sold recently for a substantial loss to the tax payer by £600,000. Can the Labour run Council be trusted with our assets?
Tim Farron hosted an urgent summit this morning (Wednesday) to establish a blueprint for the government to accept 3,000 unaccompanied child refugees who have reached Europe.
