Local Lib Dem Councillor David Foster has welcomed the improved bus service for Whitehall on Saturdays. Transdev have announced that they will be improving their service from Darwen Cemetery on Saturdays. The new service will be every 20 mins and starts from 12 November. Cllr Foster explained, we have had a number of complaints that there is no Number 1 service from Darwen cemetery to Blackburn on a Saturday, only the 225 service from Bolton to Blackburn which is every 30 minutes. I am pleased that Transdev have agreed to increase the frequency of the 225 service to every 20 minutes. This will be a big improvement for the people of Whitehall and give more frequent access to both Darwen & Blackburn Town centres.
