In August 2009 Liberal Democrat Councillors met with senior Council officers concerning the Planning and Development Control department. The Lib Dems submitted evidence that the department was failing to do its job properly resulting in poor decisions and appalling customer care that was badly affecting both residents and Spelthorne's environment.
The Lib Dems had a bumper showing at London Pride this year - with a host of high profile Liberal Democrats joining us. That included Party President Baroness Ros Scott, London MEP Baroness Sarah Ludford, London Assembly Member Caroline Pigeon, and London MP and government minister for LGBT equality Lynne Featherstone.
Liberal Democrat European justice & human rights spokeswoman and London MEP Sarah Ludford has asked the European Commission to explore what action can be taken at European level to prevent discrimination against both transgender and non-gendered people.

Teams from Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales are competing all this week at Folkestone Bowls Club in Cheriton Road for the Annual Civil Service trophy. I enjoyed meeting all the teams, but they might not have enjoyed my inept display when bowling the first bowl!
