As the refugee crisis in Europe grows and continues there are increasing calls for "safe and legal routes for refugees". The latest is a letter from eminent members of the legal profession, written to the media. For parents with young children childcare can be both the most expensive drain on the household budget and the most worrying aspect in their lives.
At the official launch of the Stronger In Campaign on Monday it was great to see such a huge range of people, of all ages and from all walks of life, prepared to work together to secure Britain's place in Europe. The proportion of women in our target seats should be much higher than 50/50 if we are serious about improving gender balance.
