Leading London MP Tom Brake has visited Dundee to learn about the city's Waterfront project, the Victoria & Albert Museum project and to tour Dundee's cultural quarter, taking in a visit to the DCA and Dundee Rep theatre.
Big changes are happening at a Blackburn school - the future is being built. The new term at Pleckgate Mathematics and Computing College will see the initial signs of activity on the first school to be constructed under the Building Schools for the Future programme.
Starting this month work will be carried out to the area around the shops on Glentworth Gardens. More than two years ago plans were drawn up to redevelop the front of the shops to make them less likely to attract anti-social behaviour. Sadly these plans were ignored by St Peter's Labour Councillors and nothing was done.
A special meeting of the council has awarded the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment the Freedom of the Borough of Epsom & Ewell.
