United Utilities have announced that the last area in Blackburn affected by the advice to boil water, because of possible contamination, has now been removed from the list of affceted areas... The last area was the Roman Rd Industrial Estate , the water there has now been declared safe to drink

Last Sunday evening, at about 7.00pm there was a dangerous situation on Scotsbridge Playing Fields as 5/6 horses and carts were driven around at considerable speed regardless of the risk to pedestrians, children and dogs. They rejected requests to behave more sensibly. This was reported to the police. If any one has witnessed a similar incident , either at Scotsbridge or elsewhere, please let us know. TRDC is going to install some low level fencing to minimise the opportunity for carts and horses to access the Scotsbridge Playing Fields. ………………………………………………………………..
