London Irish Planning applications unanimously rejected
The two planning applications from London Irish, to build 194 houses in the Avenue in Sunbury and to redevelop the Hazelwood golf course site as a rugby centre, were both refused unanimously by Spelthorne's Planning Committee.

Riverside Tales - The River Itchen
Today Southampton Itchen's PPC David Goodall went to the launch of a important report about the health of the river Itchen itself. The report says that Britain's rivers are under serious threat. Many are below their usual levels for the time of year and the need to conserve our rivers and reduce water demand has never been stronger.

Adam's Story
A huge fund-raising effort is underway to raise £300,000 for local boy Adam Bird who has neuroblastoma. Adam's siblings are pupils at Wallace Fields Junior School. The money will pay for vital treatment in America.
