Prescription charge review call

Prescriptions charges in England should be reviewed as thousands of people are not collecting medicines because of cost, Citizens Advice has said. It follows a poll of 880 people which found 2% were put off by the price - a total of 800,000 if the proportion were repeated across the whole of England.

Farron steps up fight against pubco conduct and local pub closures

Local MP Tim Farron will meet today with representatives from the Freedom for Pubs Association as part of his fight for a fairer deal for pub landlords who are finding themselves increasingly indebted, sometimes to the tune of hundreds of thousands of pounds, to the large pub chains.
