Do more, with less
There are so many ways you can help your local Lib Dems to campaign more effectively, whether you're a party member or just like what we're doing for you locally. You can deliver leaflets, have a stakeboard in your garden, put a poster in your window, and you can donate (to name but a few options). There are however some less obvious ways to help your local party, whether as a member or supporter, that can have a massive effect on their election chances. Should Bradford on Avon be sprayed with titanium?
A suggestion that Masons Lane should be treated with titanium paint has been considered be the 'Air Quality Alliance' group. The paint has the capacity to suck pollutants out of the atmosphere and spew them into the drains when it rains. Masons Lane is the most polluted road in Wiltshire. Permissions had been sought from Council officers from environmental health, conservation and streetscene departments for a trial of a titanium dioxide paint solution which has been demonstrated to reduce nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide (NOx) gases in field trials in Congleton in Cheshire. Landowners on the lower part of Masons Lane had been approached to be part of a trial of the product and had agreed to participate. It was intended at the time to spray buildings, walls and pavements during the road closure on Masons Lane in November 2013.
