LIB DEM DISGUST AT £15 MILLION IN 'ASH PAYMENTS' RECEIVED BY DOCTORS

Doctors working in hospitals earned almost £15m last year in so called 'ash cash' payments made by grieving families, figures released this week by the Liberal Democrats have revealed. The payment is made to doctors to sign a form releasing a body for cremation and our own NHS Trust, the Scarborough and North East Yorks Health Care Trust has been revealed to have earned £69,438 during 2008 and 2009 from this practice.

Heather Kidd Urges Residents To Take Advantage Of Reduced Rates For Insulation

Heather Kidd, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Ludlow and Bridgnorth, is urging residents across the constituency to call the free Home Heat Helpline (0800 33 66 99), after recent 'Missing Millions' research from the Home Heat Helpline revealed that many across the Ludlow constituency are missing out on savings of up to £250 each year on their energy bills.

PUBLIC MEETING FOR KIMBERLEY PARK GARDENS PLAY AREA - 11AM SATURDAY 23RD JANUARY

A community group in Falmouth campaigning to improve play provision in Kimberly Park Gardens are holding a public meeting this Saturday. Kimberly Park Community Group was set up last year on the back of Terrye Teverson's Playground Campaign which received an influx of complaints about the state of play equipment in Falmouth's main park. The group now has an initial proposal on how to develop the project from Groundwork South West.
