Chelmsford council ready if/when Dale Farm evictions go ahead
Chelmsford council has put in place arrangements in case traveller caravans appear on private land following enforcement action by Basildon Borough Council at Dale Farm. The Council will be providing a standby out-of-hours Planning Enforcement service.

Leicestershire is to have two representatives on a national board responsible for the Environment and housing issues in Local Government. Following internal party elections, the Leader of the Liberal Democrats on Leicestershire County Council, Simon Galton, will join David Parsons on LGA's Environment and Housing Programme Board. One of the Board's key responsibilities is planning which means it will be responding to the Government's controversial proposals contained in the draft National Planning Policy Framework.

Scam automated telephone calls: NOT from NatWest bank or Nationwide building society
Kent Trading Standards has received a report of repeated unsolicited automated telephone calls claiming to be from NatWest bank and Nationwide building society. The telephone calls are received from 0845 3312530.
