Work starts this weekend to refurbish a motorway bridge near junction 8 of the M20 near Maidstone in Kent. The Chrismill bridge, which carries the motorway over the Maidstone East railway line, will be fully resurfaced and rewaterproofed, drainage will be improved and important components will be replaced.
Any interested person may inspect and copy the accounts and related documents of this body between the hours of 10am and 4pm on weekdays between 13 June and 8 July 2011.
Lib Dem Euro MP Catherine Bearder met celebrity fishing campaigner Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall to discuss the future of fishing. On a visit to the European Parliament to launch the European Fish Fight Campaign, Fearnley Whittingstall praised the efforts by MEPs to put the issue of fishing reforms high up on the European agenda.
Springvale Focus Team has received numerous complaints from local residents regarding late night drinking parties held by hooligans on local parks and open spaces. On the open space between Hurst Hill/ Kossuth and Swann Roads youths have set up camp, destroying trees and stealing garden furniture from neighbouring houses. At one point, in their nightly drunken rampage, they made a big bonfire of this furniture to which the fire brigade had to be called.
Local Lib Dem Gary Fuller has hit out at Conservative controlled Shepway District Council for their failure to respond to his questions about their planned changes to refuse collection in Shepway.
Lib Dems seek to protect secularism and prevent proselytising by faith groups when they get involved in delivering public services. Already we have seen several examples of faith groups taking on the delivery of sensitive public services such as advising on sexual health.
