Tim Farron MP champions the cause of Water Saving Week
Next week marks the arrival of the first ever national Water Saving Week. Yesterday Shadow Secretary of State for Defra Tim Farron hosted a press conference in Parliament to launch the week. As the MP for one of Britain's wettest constituencies, containing many of Cumbria's Lakes and enjoying one of the highest levels of rainfall, Tim made the point that we can easily make the mistake of thinking that water is an infinite resource.

Local MP's Charity Triathlon is a tri-umph
This weekend saw local MP Tim Farron hit the lanes - and lakes - of his constituency in aid of local charity 'Cancer Care South Lakes'. The triathlon took Tim from the most northerly point to the most southerly point of the constituency and had him running, rowing and cycling.

Farron calls on United Utilities to fix sewage leak in Bowness
United Utilities should fix the flooding problem outside Bowness Tourist Information Centre according to South Lakeland MP Tim Farron, who has called on the water company to repair a drain leaking raw sewage outside of the building.
