We cannot stress enough that you need to appeal in WRITING against a PIP decision, not over the phone. We know it is tempting to get on the phone as soon as you get the dreaded brown envelope, however this will ensure that they will reconsider the decision using the same evidence that day or a few days later, and will most likely come to exactly the same negative decision as it will not give you adequate time to send anything new in.

News from Rickmansworth Liberal Democrats - Three Rivers, a Lib Dem Run Council
The Planning Permission for the replacement buildings to accommodate Bury Lake Young Mariners and to provide new, up to date facilities at the Aquadrome has been granted.………………………………………………………. We are delighted that Sport England has decided to invest £150K in BLYM.This investment will benefit young people today and in the future. It will go towards the reconstruction and enlargement of the facilities . Improvements include the redesigning of the club house, boat storage, the workshop and new jetties. ……………………………………………………….. Rickmansworth School Pool is still closed for building works so it will not be available for community use at half term. But William Penn pool is open and available. ………………………………………………………………………….. Cancelled Event - The Rickmansworth Music Society concert at 1.05pm at the Baptist Church on 26th October has been cancelled because the solo tenor is ill and a replacement could not be found at such short notice. Sorry ! ………………………………………………………… Dates for you

The Tories are trying to kill off our renewable energy boom
In the past three months, for the first time in our history, Britain produced more electricity from renewable sources than it did from coal. Between 2010 and 2015, Britain's renewable power capacity trebled, with over £40bn invested into onshore and offshore wind farms, solar PV and biomass. But that massive progress in clean energy is about to slow dramatically, thanks to policy changes brought in since May's general election. Without Liberal Democrats in coalition, the new Conservative government is slashing the low-carbon energy investment Britain needs if we are to tackle climate change and reduce our reliance on imported fossil fuels.

Residents of the Medway Towns may be interested to learn that certain of their elected Councillors are emulating their party's MEPs by being a complete and utter waste of time and space. I speak of course of UKIP.
