Lib Dem PPCs in Yorkshire and the Humber are fighting to save jobs in the creative industries. Leeds PPC Aquila Choudry has started an e-petition on the Number 10 web site calling on "the Prime Minister to save jobs in the creative industries in the Leeds city region by acting urgently to save Yorkshire Television".
Tesco, the owners, have applied to renew a planning permission which is due to expire shortly. It will be debated at the 16th April meeting of the Planning Committee.

Liberal Democrat member Walker Darke has been elected as one of the two Youth Councillors for Wolverhampton South West in Wolverhampton's Youth Elections. There was a total of 15 candidates for the two places.
Following the news that Tory Cllr Stuart Pawson has tendered his resignation, the Rossendale LibDems have welcomed this announcement as a sensible outcome to what was an increasingly disturbing trend of absenteeism by this elected member.
