Small Steps: Cheriton Lorry Parking Progress Update

The Cheriton Lib Dem team have continued to chase both Shepway District and Kent County Councils for action on Cheriton High Street, and are starting to get results. The High Street layby opposite Tesco's has recently been "spruced up" following many complaints from Cheriton Town Councillor Tim Prater and local residents. Kent County Council have also now confirmed that there is a plan to deal with the issue permanently in this financial year.

IVF rules to be relaxed

Evan Harris MP has welcomed government proposals to make it easier for same-sex female couples to access fertility treatment without the sperm donor being present. This should make IVF treatment more accessible to both single women, and lesbian or bisexual women in same-sex relationships.
