Undoubtedly, the onset of Covid-19 has created the greatest public health crisis of our generation, and we shall undoubtedly see the effects of this epidemic for many months to come. We're in this for the long haul, but this is a time for caution, care and consideration, not panic and alarm. We're all in this together, and if we all work together, then we will get through this crisis.
Bedford Borough Council continues to update its coronavirus webpage with all changes to council services and other important information. Updates on Saturday 21st March included the closure of all libraries, barring the limited exception of Bedford Central Library, which will be open today, Sunday 22nd March, from midday - 2pm for the use of public computers by library users only.
With the emerging Coronavirus across the country we are all aware of the impacts this is having on the community and economy, and I know that many of our local charities and voluntary groups are already working on ways in which they can support the local community.
