Free school meals for infants locally

Hinckley County Councillor Michael Mullaney has welcomed the news that from September 2014 all infant school pupils including 21,900 in Leicestershire will benefit from a free hot and healthy meal at lunchtime.

Here's a video about a long standing Liberal & Liberal Democrat policy - Land Value Taxation (LVT). The video was commissioned by Action For Land Taxation and Economic Reform (ALDER) a Lib Dem pressure group and the Coalition for Economic Justice (CEJ). The film maker was asked to explain the concept of LVT in their own way and to speak to anyone they wished.

Latest News on Rural Broadband

Leicestershire County Council today released a map showing their current expectations for broadband deployments. They stress that it is only a preliminary plan and that changes may be made as work goes on but residents will be pleased to finally see an outline of what is planned.
