Last minute delay to plans to destroy cupola bell tower on Community House
The new owners of Community House were planning to remove the cuppola bell tower on Saturday 4th May but the works have been delayed while the parties involved investigate ways to save this architectural feature.

Kent Police and Crime Commissioner 2024 Election Result
On a 22.2% turnout, the Conservative's Kent Police and Crime Commissioner candidate was re-elected with a much reduced majority. The Conservative's vote share was down 14% on 2021, with Labour up 8.6% and the Lib Dems up 5.1%.

🔶 2024 Local Election Round-up 🔶
For the first time in almost 30 years, the Liberal Democrats came second for the number of councillor seats won, ahead of the Conservatives. 522 Liberal Democrat Councillors were elected, up 104. The Conservatives trailed in with 515, losing a 474.
