After reviewing the latest set of unemployment figures heather Kidd called for the Government to look urgently at the gaps in the safety net to make sure that people who are out of work are getting the support that they need to see them through this difficult period.
Heather Kidd took a few hours out of her busy schedule to dine with Bridgnorth Liberal Democrat activists in Bridgnorth on Friday. Organiser, Richard Stilwell, who recently stood in the Unitary elections, said "Having Heather at our summer dinner was very good for our local activists. They spent a lot of time and effort during the local elections and this gave them the opportunity to relax and talk with Heather about her campaigns."
Shepway Council have announced a second stage to their Community Chest funding programme, with another £35,000 available for local organisations. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects, plus one £20,000 grant in the year. Applications for the second phase of funding will be accepted up until 2nd November 2009.
