Wrong decision is still being justified
Dear Sir,
Dear Sir,
On Friday it was revealed that Dominic Cummings, the Prime Minister's chief advisor, broke the lockdown rules by driving 260 miles to County Durham with his family whilst sick with coronavirus in order to have his elderly parents help with childcare. Understandably this has angered and upset so many families and individuals who have diligently remained at home throughout the coronavirus outbreak in order to keep them and their families safe, and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. An illness which has resulted in thousands of people dying alone, families being unable to be with loved ones as they have died, or meant that people have been unable to be there to look after seriously ill relatives.
With just days before schools are due to open, parents & teachers are still being kept in the dark. We all want to get children back in school, but the public need answers. The remarks come after the Government published documents from the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) today. Sage looked at the scientific modelling for seven different scenarios for school closures, the papers show, following their publication, the school leaders' union NAHT has written to the Education Secretary urging the Government to explain why reopening next month is a "wise thing to do". https://www.wiltshiretimes.co.uk/news/national/18469399.unions-criticise-inconclusive-scientific-evidence-behind-school-reopening-plan/
We do not come across many wild turtles in the United Kingdom, but nevertheless it is important to think about them on their international day. They are the longest living species on the planet and nobody knows quite how long they can live - the oldest living land animal in the world is believed to be Jonathan the giant tortoise, who was apparently born in 1832. Before Jonathan achieved this distinction, another giant tortoise called Adwaita was believed to be about 260 years old at the time of his death.
