I was elected as local councillor in Norden in 2004 and I am standing for re-election because I have really enjoyed working together with the people in my ward and representing them on the Council. I have received enormous support from many local residents and I believe together we achieved a number of very positive results. I look at many issues as ongoing and needing continued effort in order to see a long- term solution.
I have represented Milnrow and Newhey for four years and been an integral part of the Milnrow and Newhey Liberal Democrat team, alongside Councillors Keith Swift and Irene Davidson.
I am proud to say that I have lived in Milkstone and Deeplish all my life and so I experience the same problems that the people in my ward go through every day. That is why I am best placed of all the candidates in this election.
Pauline is standing for re-election to Rochdale Council on the 4th of May. She has represented the people of Littleborough Lakeside for the last two years and has been a tireless campaigner to keep our local health service from being decimated by the Pennine Acute Trust and the Labour Government.
