MP attempts to juggle 'three planet' lifestyle

Tim Farron MP may be used to juggling his workload but WWF challenged him to juggle three planets to highlight how everyone in the UK is using more than their fair share of natural resources, and emitting more CO2 than the planet can absorb.

Lib Dems seek mass repeal of Labour's laws and a Freedom Bill

The Liberal Democrats have called for a mass repeal of 10 parliamentary acts passed by Labour since 1997. A "Freedom Bill" sets out plans to abolish ID cards, control orders for terror suspects and to end extradition to the US "without proper evidence". The Lib Dems also pledge to end the storage of DNA details of people never charged or convicted of crimes. Party leader Sir Menzies Campbell says Labour is addicted to making laws and has created "legislative madness". The government has passed 365 acts and 32,000 Statutory Instruments - rules and regulations made by ministers - since 1997. This equates to seven full editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Disabled Parking Space Review Through Shepway

Kent County Council have published proposals to introduce a number of additional on-street parking facilities across Shepway, and to revoke a few existing spaces. The spaces are for disabled person's vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons badge.

Dundee LibDems support votes at 16

Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Thursday 9th November) welcomed the comments in Parliament earlier this week by Jo Swinson MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, that UK politics would benefit from sixteen-year-olds being given the right to vote and to stand as candidates.
