Wiltshire Council turns its back on the voluntary sector
Wiltshire council's Conservative administration continues its policy of cutting all which is useful and valued in the county with an attack on funding for the voluntary sector. The responsibility to assist local organisations falls onto the increasingly overloaded and short-changed area boards. Here's a statement from Cllr Chris Williams. Everyone in Keighley and Shipley will be able to vote for a Liberal Democrat candidate on May 5th.

Liberal Democrat MEP Catherine Bearder has won the Green Ribbon Political Award recognising her outstanding environmental achievements.
Catherine was awarded in the MEP of the Year category for her work fighting for stronger European targets to tackle air pollution. The judges commended Catherine for generating public awareness of the issue and championing EU action to improve air quality, often in the face of opposition from the UK government.
