Hugh Janes, the chair of Plymouth Liberal Democrats, has pointed to the Liberal victory in Canada's general election as evidence of how liberal parties can bounce back after election disappointments. At the election, held on 19th October, Canada's Liberals jumped from the 34 seats they won in 2011 to win 184 this time.
