Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill passes Lords Second Reading
Today, the Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Bill passed Second Reading in the Lords after a wrecking amendment from Lord Dear was defeated. The news was celebrated by Lib Dem campaigners and parliamentarians, and LGBT+ Lib Dems activists who helped organise a peaceful, nonpartisan vigil outside the Lords on both Monday and Tuesday evenings.
