Houses are homes, not investment say Lib Dems
The £1bn of investment in Burgess Hill being promoted by Mid Sussex District Council includes the cost of building around 5,000 new houses. We believe that houses are homes and not investment. Homes should be part of a thriving local community with all of the services and infrastructure needed to support the needs of local residents. Although there are some proposed community facilities associated with the new development the fact remains that if we had an adopted Local Plan we would have already received millions in developer contributions towards much needed local infrastructure across Mid Sussex.

Metro Line "Cancellation" is "Not the End of the Line" - Watford Mayor and Herfordshire Leader Rally to Defend MXL
Recently was announced that Mayor of London Sadiq Khan had refused an offer of £73 million of funding from the government to start the Metropolitan Line Extension rail project (MLX). But now the Liberal Democrat Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill, has weighed in, saying this will not be "the end of the line" for the scheme.

Total football goal for disabled fans
Disabled supporters say football still lags a long way behind cinemas, museums and other public buildings in terms of access and facilities. Going to a football match is a full-on sensory experience in which a drama with an unknown ending will unfold in front of you. The soundtrack is provided by the competing noise of two sets of rival fans, plus there's that sense of belonging to and being with your tribe. And of course there's even the smell of that welcome half-time pie wafting around the stadium.
