Residents from the north of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough have been urged to attend an additional consultation meeting in Coalville on the proposed changes to the local Fire Service. The additional meeting is being held at Coalville Fire and Rescue Station on Monday November 9th between 745 and 845pm.

An editorial in The Journal last week on the North East devolution deal is headed "Power to the People" but that's the last thing it is. The people of the North East are not being given a say about whether they wish to have a Mayor covering an area from Berwick to Barnard Castle. They should have been.
