MP WELCOMES DEFRA REPORT ON RED TAPE AND CALLS FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE SIX DAY RULE
South Lakes MP Tim Farron has welcomed a DEFRA select committee report that calls on the government to push the red tape task force's recommendations forward quickly. Tim is keen that the government should abolish the six day movement rule.

Village Tour Update: 60 in 30 becomes 19 in 7
I'm back out on the Village Tour trail again tomorrow, with surgeries in Oakley, Stevington, Turvey, Riseley, Swineshead, Melchbourne and Yelden. The '60 in 30' Tour is now down to 19 in 7, with 19 villages left in the schedule in the remaining 7 days of the month. The tour so far has been excellent, with 200 people coming out to talk to me about the issues on their minds in villages from Farndish in the north westof the Borough to Stewartby in the south and another 39 in between. So far 199 people have come out to talk to me about the issues on their minds.

Chinese Lib Dems in Birmingham
Chinese Liberal Democrats celebrated their 5th birthday on the evening of 20 September 2011 at the Tin Tin Restaurant at Brindley Place in Birmingham. The event was a great success with CLD Patron Lord Paddy Ashdown as guest speaker. Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP and many other party members also attended the event.

'Control scooter-riding children', pleads visually impaired woman
BLIND and visually-impaired residents are calling on parents to control their scooter-riding children. Armed with her 5ft reflective cane, Lesley "Fred" Power, 40, of Stockton Road, South Park, told the Mirror she was growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of thought from the younger generation.
