One of the anomalies created by the Labour government, which the coalition has so far failed to put right, is the difference in the amount of funding going to children and schools in different parts of the country.

MP launches dentistry survey as campaign is stepped up

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has asked local residents to share their experiences of dentistry here in Cumbria. Tim is building up a case file to take to the Department of Health as part of the campaign to improve local dental provision in South Lakeland.

Anger at Wage Cuts at Shropshire’s Council

Liberal Democrats on Shropshire Council have expressed their anger at the Conservative Administration for refusing to protect our low paid staff. The Coalition Government has made it clear that those earning under £21,000 should be protected and even have a small pay rise.

On the naming and numbering of streets...

Wiltshire Council's 'cabinet' set out the council's policy on street names and house numbering at its meeting on June 22nd 2010. This is one of the areas which used to be in the jurisdiction of the local district councils before their abolition.
