Lib Dem PPC to speak to Older People's Forum

The Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and Whitby is to speak to the Filey and Scarborough Older People's Forum at Westborough Methodist Church today. Tania Exley-Moore has been invited to address the group and to participate in a debate with other parliamentary hopefuls, Dilys Cluer of the Green Party and Annajoy David of the Labour Party.

Fly-tipping in back alley ways

Following requests to St Peter's Liberal Democrats, Zahid Shah and Robin Lawrence are assisting residents and property owners in Austin Street and Jameson Street to battle against fly-tipping. Thanks to the involvement of local campaigner Zahid Shah and Parliamentary Spokesperson Robin Lawrence Wolverhampton Council has begun enforcement procedures to stop residents being blighted by fly-tipping in alley ways running behind their houses. Commenting on the case Zahid Shah said, "Local residents had approached Wolverhampton Council directly to ask for a clean up but it was not until the Liberal Democrats got involved that things really started to happen."Parliamentary Spokesperson Robin Lawrence added, "The Liberal Democrats are happy to help with solving fly-tipping problems anywhere in Wolverhampton South West."
