Agency Staff Savings

The Liberal Democrats on Surrey County Council have for many years regularly suggested that the County Council could make significant savings by reducing its reliance on costly agency staff by reducing the number of agency staff and using its own directly-employed staff instead. At last someone has listened.

An fresh official notice is due to be published on 31st May 2010, similar to the one published on 7th January 2009, stating that the footpaths connecting Stones Road with Blenheim Road and Miles Road via the footbridge across the railway are to be closed temporarily sometime within the next 6 months.
