Update on community centre at former St. Peter’s / Rainsford school
Phone calls, emails and meetings about the future of this site pop up almost every week. Last Friday was the latest meeting of the steering group that I first convened in Summer 2012. We received a presentation about the different legal options for creating a community association / trust / company to take the project forwards.

Uwe Derksen, a research student at the University of Kent, is conducting research into public perceptions of Margate and Folkestone, with particular reference to culture-led regeneration.
