Creating a fairer Britain with the Fellowship Dialogue Society

David Goodall, Southampton Itchen's Parliamentary Candidate, was very pleased to have been invited to speak to Southampton Fellowship Dialogue Society. The main goal of the Society is to organise various religious, cultural and social activities, and conferences among all types of religious and ethnic groups to support and advance the harmony and cooperation among religions and faith traditions.

Local residents are right to oppose London Irish plans

Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate Mark Chapman and County Councillor Caroline Nichols are certain that the London Irish plans to move to Hazelwood Golf Centre and redevelop their current site would damage the local area. Caroline said that "This development would be a disaster for Sunbury and nearly every resident I have spoken to has been against it".

Over a Quarter of a Million Pounds Granted to Bedford Borough's Voluntary Sector

Bedford Borough Council's Grants Committee, chaired by Mayor Dave Hodgson, met last week and allocated £276,000 to voluntary sector groups carrying out a wide range of extremely important functions within the Borough. Grants were made to a variety of groups such as BECHAR, which provides vital services to the homeless and rootless, the Citizen's Advice Bureau, Bedford Women's Refuge and Victim Support.

Tories Abandon Environment As A Priority

The Tories today published a list of 'Ten reasons to vote Conservative' which did not include any reference to the environment or climate change. This is despite David Cameron's claim that he has 'sought to push the environment up to the top of the political agenda', and his own Shadow Climate Change Secretary Greg Clark's assertion that Cameron 'wanted the environment to be a very important part of the proposition we put to the public at the General Election.'
