Safety Camera for Tettenhall Road
Park Ward Liberal Democrats have welcomed plans for road safety improvements on the busy Tettenhall Road going out of the city. Due to traffic speeding away from the traffic lights in Chapel Ash towards Clark Road several road safety problems have been occurring in the area around Haden Hill, Larches Lane and Clark Road. To help reduce traffic speeds and the risk of more accidents, plans have been announced for installing a traffic safety camera near Haden Hill.

The Transition Towns movement began as an attempt by communities to work out for themselves how to address the twin problems of climate change and the end of cheap oil. Transitioners believe that life will be better - more local, more in touch with nature, more vibrant, less stressed, less chemical - after oil, and that we will be better prepared to deal with the challenges if we start working together now.

Farron raises concern about number of ambulances responding to 999 calls without a paramedic
Concerns about the ability of Cumbrian ambulances to respond effectively to 999 calls have been raised by South Lakeland MP Tim Farron, who has highlighted the alarming number of ambulances that are reportedly being sent out without a paramedic.
