Bath Lorry ban - what the Highways Agency say

Although claiming they haven't made a formal objection to the plan by BaNES to put a lorry ban on the A36 at Cleveland Bridge, the Highways Agency have sent a strongly-worded letter to the authority setting out why they think the proposal is a bad idea.

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has said today said that 'another key piece of Cumbria's economic recovery has fallen into place as news was announced that Cumbria has been named as one of five pilot Rural Growth Networks to receive a share of millions of pounds worth of funding from DEFRA aimed at boosting rural businesses.
