Teign MP Richard Younger Ross is supporting a national campaign to help improve access to physiotherapy for stroke survivors. The MP attended a reception in Parliament to mark the launch of the 'Moving On' campaign by The Stroke Association and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Heather Kidd Slams Proposed New Car Parking Charges In Bridgnorth

Heather Kidd has slammed proposals by Shropshire's Conservative Council to raise parking fees in Bridgnorth Town to £5.50 for up to four hours. Heather said "This sits along side the Council Tax rising by 3.5%. Other areas whose Council tax is standing still will only have 20p or 30p rises in parking charges and they are at lower levels. Is this really fair? At a time when traders need all the help they can get increasing their trade, Shropshire Council decides to increase the charges on this scale. Shops are still facing fierce competition from internet shopping - the Council must begin to recognise that we may well have to reconsider using parking charges as a cash cow if we are to keep vibrant town centres."
