Uganda should be suspended from Commonwealth if Anti-Homosexuality Bill is passed - Clegg
Commenting on the Anti-Homosexuality Bill to be debated by the Uganda Parliament today, Liberal Democrat Leader, Nick Clegg said "It is deeply shocking that the Ugandan Government or anyone else believes that is acceptable to rehash dangerous ideas like banning homosexuality. It is outrageous that the Government in Kampala calls itself a modern democracy yet dares to propose a death penalty for people whose only crime is having different sexual orientation. If this odious bill is passed Britain should stand up for human rights and expel Uganda from the Commonwealth."
