Lib Dem Shadow Chancellor Vince Cable MP has written about some of the positive benefits that should come from the current banking crisis. In an article for the Daily Mail he writes: "..in the middle of this frightening drama it is possible to see some positive developments that give us encouragement for the future.

Extremist groups could search for support among people who considered themselves victims of "economic injustice. European governments had to step up to the plate to reduce economic inequality.
