Lib Dems won a key vote in Parliament, calling on the Government to begin negotiations with the EU on a new, Customs Union deal to boost trade and help pay for better public services.
Dr Al Pinkerton MP, who speaks for Lib Dems on Europe, proposed a new law forcing the Government to negotiate a new Customs Union deal with the EU which is "the biggest lever for growth which the Government could pull." Lib Dems won the first vote on this
